Bring Back Peace

SMD- Shree Mangal Dvip School in Nepal. It is a very special school. Thrangu Rinpoche (Himalayn Children’s Fund) had a vision and this is just one of his many compassionate activities.

We happen to have 3 children that we sponsor there, so this is near and dear to me. We have Palden Tsering who is in preschool, Sweta Ale who is in 5th grade (she was in kindergarten when we first sponsored her) and Norbu Samdup who is in 6th grade (2nd when we started). We are watching these amazing children grow up and get an incredible education in one of the most poverty stricken areas of the world. They send us drawings, letters and photos throughout the year. I am so grateful to be part of their lives and be a blessing for them. Sweta has drawn a picture of our family with her in it saying she is my “daughter”. I just cried. Once a year many of these children see there parents. They live too far away to see them more. It is hard to believe at such a young age the parents must make decisions like this. BUT if they are lucky, they get an education which is wealth for them.
